There are plenty of independent shops, pubs and restaurants to explore, and twice a month you can stock up on local produce at the farmers’ market, which is held at the Corn Exchange in the Town Hall.
When you want to blow out the cobwebs Wareham is well placed for access to stunning coastal scenery at Lulworth Cove, Lulworth Castle, Durdle Door and Brownsea Island.
