Specialist age exclusive property developer, PegasusLife Group, has announced on 12th February that Ian Sutcliffe and David Simpson have joined the Board as Non-Executive Directors.
Ian is currently the Group CEO of Countryside Properties, a FTSE 250 housebuilder, specialising in urban regeneration and mixed tenure homes. He previously held Executive Board positions at Taylor Wimpey, SEGRO and Keepmoat, as well as serving for the past 9 years as a Non-Executive Director of Ashtead Group plc.
David Simpson has spent the past 18 years as Managing Director of Millgate Homes - a premium brand house builder operating in the south-east region. In 2014, David joined the Board at the Countryside Group and retired in 2018.
This strengthening of the PegasusLife Group Executive Board supports the continued development of the company. Despite adverse market conditions, business performance has been very solid in the first half of our financial year and has outperformed expected growth targets.
Antonin de Margerie, CEO at PegasusLife Group, commented:
“Our commercial performance has been very strong. We have made good progress on a majority of our sites which confirms the progress of our strategy and our teams. Moreover, with the recent completion of key sites and the continued acquisition of land, the quality of our asset base has strengthened.
“It is with pride and excitement that we welcome Ian and David to the Board. Their expertise and vision will further fuel our ambition not only to grow the business but to transform the way people over 60 live.”
Ian Sutcliffe said:
“There is no doubt that Senior Housing living is a key challenge and opportunity in the years to come. PegasusLife Group has embraced this opportunity with a bold vision and a long-term ambition. I am very keen to support PegasusLife in achieving its goals in terms of growth, innovation as well as societal impact.”
About PegasusLife Group
The PegasusLife Group is a fast-growing business comprised of two brands: PegasusLife and Renaissance Retirement. The two brands operate two separate visions - but with one purpose: to design, build and operate premium quality homes for those who look to their later years as a time to relish.
The PegasusLife Group is currently in the process of developing more than 50 high-value sites across the UK, including two developments in Hampstead, two in Gloucestershire, as well as the newly-completed Wildernesse House development on the 24-acre Wildernesse Estate. The building enjoys a rich history, with connections to Henry VIII and the Duke of Wellington. Every development conceptualises the history, architectural character and culture of its location and, most critically, embodies the spirit of the people who will want to live in it.
The PegasusLife Group is backed by Oaktree Capital Management, a leading investment company in growth sectors.
