How this role fits into PegasusLife?
The HR function has recently been brought in house for the first time to better support the business. Currently a small team of 2, this role is crucial in helping the team to engage staff and deliver an exceptional HR provision to everyone who works in the PegasusLife group across all areas of HR and internal communications. Having also recently undertaken an acquisition, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to help shape and develop the HR support to the business for the long term.
What we are looking for:
Reporting to the HR Director, previous experience in a similar role is really important to give our people the HR service they deserve. You will hold your CIPD Level 5 or will be working towards this.
No day is the same here, the only constant is the challenge and diverse nature of the work, so a highly organised individual used to managing a high workload and multiple priorities is a must. Dealing with employees at all levels, suppliers, candidates and agencies; the role requires excellent written and verbal communication as well as the ability to influence, negotiate and remain calm and professional at all times. A great aptitude for IT and a keenness to help shape and develop new systems is also needed.
All our people are enthusiastic, motivated and want to make a difference to people's lives, and this role is no exception. You will be comfortable with having difficult conversations and coaching managers, experience of recruitment, talent management, internal communications, engagement, TUPE and implementing HR systems. With such a wide range of tasks coming your way the role requires you to be flexible and adaptable as well as being able to solve problems.
Location, salary and benefits
This role comes with a competitive basic salary of £35-40k , car allowance and bonus, alongside a benefits package including 25 days holiday, life assurance, Healthshield, and a contributory pension.
It will be based at our Head Office in Winchester, although there is a requirement for regular travel to our other offices and sites.
