Who We Are
PegasusLife is about retirement living, but not as you know it. We are a specialist property developer on a mission to fundamentally change the way retirement property is understood in the UK. We are the new generation, providing breathtaking designs combined with outstanding service.
Helicon is the part of the PegasusLife Group providing property management. It is our job to take care of the developments and make sure that our owners enjoy living in it.
We are looking to recruit an Assistant General Manager for our team at Wildernesse House, Sevenoaks that will provide the top quality service our ambitions require, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.
The Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager to successfully run our developments, each of which has been carefully designed and built to offer the highest levels of comfort, leisure and service to our owners.
As the Assistant General Manager, you will support the day to day operational running of the development and its facilities. This includes wellness facilities such as a pool and spa, as well as a restaurant that is open to the public.
You will be responsible for helping coordinate events for the owners of the apartment, and managing the visitor suite diary.
You will be the key interface between our apartment owners and PegasusLife. You’ll help everyone settle into their new homes and lead the lifestyle they are aiming for. You will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance within the developments is of a high standard, undertaking day to day tasks, and actively support health and safety.
In addition to this, you will build lasting relationships with the residents at our development, offering a considered, thoughtful and professional approach to making their experience of living at Wildernesse House an exceptional one.
We believe it’s the little things:
Like having Julia’s morning coffee ready and waiting for her at 9. No sugar and a drop of hot milk. Just the way she likes it.
Or making sure the day’s papers are out on the coffee table. The FT for Geoff. The Telegraph for Susan. The Mail (open to the sports section) for Tom.
It’s checking the guest suite availability. Claudia mentioned that her grandson is visiting next week. Ooh, they might like to try the new Italian in town.
It’s updating the noticeboard on the way out. Cheese and wine tasting next Thursday. Film night is now on Saturday (too many people out on Fridays). Group walk on Monday afternoon – weather permitting, of course.
The Assistant General Manager role is unique and offers an exceptional opportunity, in a leading retirement living development.
We are looking for an intuitive people person who’s empathetic approach, warmth, and insight enables them to build relationships with all of our owners in the development. You’ll be used to talking to people and using your instinct to go the extra mile. You will have plenty of energy and positivity to manage our service partners as well as a simple budget.
Your approach means that you strive to exceed expectations, always putting the customer first, taking a long term view and treating everyone with respect. Delighting our owners will be your focus, but you are also respectful when dealing with our partners and your colleagues. Motivation is important and you’ll be able to work on your own initiative, but also contribute to the wider PegasusLife team.
As you would expect, our expectations are high and your experience will be key to meeting and exceeding them. You will have worked in a customer facing role, probably in tourism, hospitality or retail, meaning your communications skills will be excellent. You’ll have experienced much of what the local areas has to offer and be empathetic to people's needs.
We are looking for a part-time Assistant General Manager to join the team at our Wildernesse House development, working 4 days (16 hours) per week.
Please note this position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
